Greek myths inform us that Narcissus fell in love with his own reflection and turned into a flower on understanding that he could never posses it. 

This simple mug proposes a complex role reversal; one that snatches the beauty from the man’s gaze, and locates it in the interactions between the woman and the flower. Here the terms of engagement and appreciation are set by the woman, bypassing the man altogether.
